GUEST COLUMNIST:
Our guests are being fashionably late, or they've fallen asleep in the green room. While we've had promises from many, we'll have to impose on our Letters Editor for this issue's Guest Columnist, again.

two poems concerning e.e. cummings

www.eecummings.com
or
you wanna make a capital case of it?

mr. e.e. cummings would've loved the internet
he could send his poems without a stamp or a chance of getting wet

he'd chat online; write overtime, to satisfy his muse
but a carpal wrist leaves a writer pissed, when he can only scan the news

his time has come with the internet, 'though he wrote in black and white,
you have to confess, as you type your address, that his was the way that was right.
a texan writes to e.e. cummings

To most of us here in Texas, your poems seem kind of strange.
Of course, we prefer our cowboy songs when we're ridin' on the range.

You Eastern guys aren't all that wise; in fact your brains are mixed.
We might never claim our fifteen minutes of fame,
But we'd at least get our typewriter fixed.
