Desert, Texas

Note:
Never was much to this place as far back as I remember, and part of
that has been replaced by a modern gas station/store. There is a cemetery
south of 'town'. - Mike

History in a Pinhead
The community was named after the creek of the same name and settled
around 1890. A post office opened in 1893 but was discontinued after
11 years in service. The estimated population has never exceeded 100
and from the 1930s through the 2000 census it has continued to be
given as 25. |
