History on
a Pinhead
No 19th Century history. Haltom City developed around
defense plants during WWII
and post war manufacturing. From only an estimated 200 residents
in the late 1940s, the suburb of Ft.
Worth grew to nearly 6,000 in ten short years.
It had grown to just over 32,000 in the 1960s but dropped to just
under 30.000 in the mid 1970s. The 1990 census counted over 32,000
and for 2010, the population was over 42,000.
