History on
a Pinhead
The
town’s post office opened in 1897 although it closed its doors just
eight years later. In the mid 1930s there was a presence on local
maps that showed two businesses, but that was then. The local school
was consolidated with Deport schools.

Photographer’s note:
“This is just a name on a map as there is virtually nothing there
now. It was even hard to find with my GPS map system. It is just an
intersection of various one-lane, back-country gravel roads. It is
a peaceable place as there is only a scattering of residences and
farm buildings.
If any one is interested in seeing this place it is located 3-miles
due east out of Pattonville on the Pattonville-Hooverton Road. The
sign says Lamar roads 15100 and 15170 but, you had better have some
good county maps and know what you are doing to find it.” - Gerald
