History in
a Pecan Shell
The
community once had a church, school and cotton gin during its heyday.
A post office was in operation from 1885 to 1905. The school merged
with the one in Ewing in 1912 and the building of Camp
(Now Fort) Hood gave a definitive year (1942) to the end of the
town as it was known. |
