History on
a Pinhead
Once called Warsaw
Prairie, the community was settled prior to 1840. It was granted
a post office in 1847 but it had closed by 1858.
Although earlier figures aren’t immediately available, the population
in the mid 1930s was just 15 residents. It later rebounded (somewhat)
to around 60 people, and the 2000 census showed about the same – counting
58 residents. |
