History
on a Pinhead
Although a post office was granted to this tiny community
as early as 1887, there were only ten reported residents in the 1890s.
There was a store and blacksmith, but Goodman’s proximity to Bastrop
dampened chances of growth. The post office closed by 1914 and thereafter
Goodman melted into oblivion. |
