History in
a Pecan Shell
Also
known as Tiger Point, the name was coined by Phillip Haddox
Coe who observed that the male residents “behaved like tigers.”
A post office is said to have existed prior to the Civil War and the
community had many prominent Washington County personalities living
there. But its proximity to Brenham
was a detriment to growth and by 1900 the town was gone. The land
became a farm and its exact location is unknown.
