Chevelon Canyon Bridge
1913 Pony Truss
spans the Chevelon Canyon. 104 feet in length, the bridge is found
12 Miles SE of Winslow.
Photographer’s note: “…down a long dusty road. I did not pass
one vehicle in either direction.” Winslow, in Navajo County has a
population of around 10,000. |

Houck, Arizona
Querino Canyon Bridge
on Old Route 66
Houck, county seat
of Apache County in the NE portion of the state, has just over 1,000
residents. Included “not for its beauty or magnitude, but [because]
it is listed as an Old Route 66 bridge,” this pony truss crosses
Querino Canyon and is located roughly 5 miles southwest of Houck,
within sight of I-40. It.

totally reverted back to common, old, everyday dirt.” |

Sundial Bridge at Turtle Bay
With a population
just over 10,000, Redding is the county seat of Shasta County. This
modern pedestrian bridge crosses the Sacramento River just off Interstate
5 and is primarily used by hikers. |

Yaquina Bay Bridge
US Highway 101
Lincoln County seat of government, Newport reported an estimated 10,240
people for 2006. This beautiful 3,223 foot bridge was built in 1934
and shows beautiful period detail. |
