Where we have yet to hear a discouraging word.

Unsolicited, uncensored and occasionally outrageous comments on and about Texas from the people who know it best.

<< Previous page .......... ( Weeping Angel at Scottsville Youree Family Cemetery continued ) The momument, according to oral legends I heard from childhood is that the chapel at Scottsville was built as a tribute to the son commemorated by the tombstone. Subject: A goofy texas question
A few years ago I stopped at a roadside park in Far West Texas, very close to the New Mexico border, located in the middle of NOWHERE. The interesting and humorous thing about the park was signs posted everywhere warning of rattlesnake nests. (What a great welcome, what a great location). I failed to take a picture of this truly unique park. Seen it ? Been there ? Got the T-Shirt ? Would love to have a memento of my stop there. - D. stephens

Keep it up! This is the greatest thing I have found on the web in ages. I love it...... Probably only another Texan will appreciate some of the humor herein but that's okay too. As long as we like it -- Texas will rise again!! - Kae R
