Where we have yet to hear a discouraging word.

Unsolicited, uncensored and occasionally outrageous comments on and about Texas from the people who know it best.

Previous page .......... the roof today for two hours with the Texas main street center building consultant Bill Lindstrom, and it is an amazing structure!! A true texas treasure with it's amazing woodwork and floor tiling. You have got to see the ornate floors in the lobby and the cool bank vault doors. And yes, I am soo proud of Breckenridge now being the "Mural Capitol of Texas". Too cool! ..... You do great work for our small towns! - Shelly Hargrove, Main Street Project Manager

Subject: coal oil
I was reading the article on "Warts," when I came across a mention of coal oil. I have been trying to find some, for many years now, to no avail. It is the best thing for cuts that I've ever used. ASAP, put the cut in the coal oil, it coagulates the blood, almost, immediately, doesn't sting, and rarely will even get sore. Is there is a possibility of obtaining any coal oil, anywhere? Please don't hesitate to contact me. Thanks for checking - Judy

Just got this message about your web site and it's content, people are looking at Texas Escapes. I did not know you had updated with new pictures and they were great. Where in the world did you get that picture of the "button" on Main Street? That was a good one. :-) Regards, Thomas Darby webmaster@kerens.com

..... nifty site. Love the humor which is uniquely Texas.
I noticed a paucity though of towns from the Gulf Coast. You need Brazoria, the first Capital "City" of Texas, Velasco which was one of the very first communities but has now been absorbed into Freeport, Clute - first known as Clute City - is interesting particularly if they are still celebrating
