History on a Pinhead

Little is known about Bois D'Arc's history and even less is known of its population. Evidently the town has always been a crossroads community - but with a church and school. The entry in the Handbook of Texas consists of three lines mentioning that the school had 45 students in the early 30s and that it consolidated with Montalba's school in 1955. The only other fact given was mention of two businesses and the church still being present in 1985.
