History in
a Pecan Shell
Originally
settled in the 1830s, the name comes from original land grantee Isaac
Decker. In 1863 a Confederate powder that had been operating near
here exploded, killing three.
The earliest grave dates to the 1870s and the community was primarily
an agriculturally-based economy from the late 19th century through
the early 20th. No population figures, past or present, are currently
available. |
