History in
a Pecan Shell
Although the name
of the community has been lost to history, this site was the “east
point” of it. Settlement dates to the 1870s.
The next historic blip to be recorded is the establishment of the
school in the mid 1890s. The population of the community was reported
as 25 during the Great Depression and after 1940 no figures at all
were available until the 2000 Census when 40 East Pointers were reported. |
