Fort Worth –
Will Rogers Memorial Tower, Coliseum, and Auditorium

Amon Carter and Will Rogers were dear friends, and Will's tragic death in an Alaskan plane crash in 1935 left a grief-stricken Carter to push for a Will Rogers Memorial Museum to be included in the Centennial. The City of Fort Worth constructed the tower, coliseum, and auditorium, dedicated to the memory of Will Rogers, on the exposition grounds as its part in the celebration of the Texas Centennial. The Will Rogers Memorial Center is one mile north of I-30, off of University Drive or Montgomery Street exits.
