All Of A Sudden

All of a sudden
the tree that lives
behind my house
is full of leaves

as if some magic fairy
had sprinkled dust
on it overnight and
turned its leaves to sparkles

going from glum
so forlorn and
winter sad looking

to this wonderful
spray of green
unfolding its arms
extending its limbs
in exultation

announcing
joy
rebirth
Spring.
