Aluminum Chair

On the back porch
I have my chair
aluminum, folding
and cheap

it's comfortable
and all I need
to watch the grass
grow

the gecko
climb up the brick
the butterfly as it gracefully
make its rounds

the wind as it brushes
the tops of swaying pines
the clouds as they glide by
left to right

it's all a man needs
to be happy

an aluminum chair
a back porch
and a view

that holds such wonderful
everyday delights.
