CATCH ME IF YOU CAN

Bent by their years
in sad wheel chairs
they struggle with their fate

Diminished by
so many years
for death they sit and wait

Deliver me
from nursing homes
halls of impending death

to fight against
advance of it
'til my last precious breath

Forget the norm
I won't conform
stay a defiant man

I will not sit
and wait for it
let it catch me if it can.
