November 13th

Oh horrid day
dear sister France,
when bodies are strewn
like broken glass

Who knew that this
would come to pass,
the witnessed scene
minds cannot grasp

Means to an end
we can only guess,
forgive them Lord
their cruel trespass

Forgiveness is yours
we can't, alas
our hearts are held
in bitterness.
