Peekaboo moon
round as a spoon
sneaks around corners
whistling a tune

hides behind houses
dark in the night
creeps down lonely roads
carrying its light

peeks around chimneys
winks from afar
pokes its head into clouds
covering the stars

peekaboo moon
playing games with a grin
give us a smile
when you come out again.
