If
every kid could
most surely would,
try jumping feet first
into puddles of mud
When mothers protest
doesn't do any good,
kids eagerly find
those puddles of mud
It's upsetting to moms
but they really should
let kids experience
the glories
of mud
For dirt does no harm
it's now understood,
good antibodies live
in all of that mud
Dirt is indeed healthy
it's nothing to scrub
let kids grow up naturally
around nature and mud
And the next time it rains
in your
neighborhood
let the kids out to play
in Puddles of Mud.
