Rice And Beans

My poems contain
no fancy schemes,
just basic fare
like rice and beans

No interpreter
nor college dean,
need explain in depth
what they think I mean

My poems are easy
on the eye,
simplicity
is what applies

The reason I
write poems like these,
they're nourishment
like rice and beans.
