There
was no school
for which I cared,
my only school
was trial and error
Learning was hard
as it could be,
attending
this
university
The lessons taught
were tough and stern,
but repetition made them
all well learned
Common sense
became the rule,
the specialty
taught in this school
That education
good or not,
taught me things
not soon forgot
And over years
I learned a lot,
graduating
cum laude
School Of Hard Knocks.
