SNOWY WOODS

by David Knape

"Stopping By The Snowy Woods",
a poem by Robert Frost,
who had the perfect name to write
that scene he came across

In this blowing blizzard
under which he was besieged,
the fact that he was out in it
makes it harder to believe

For who would want to get a cold
get chilled right to the bone,
he could have just as easily
wrote the poem from home

Let's give the poet credit though
he had us all deceived,
if he were really in the snowy woods
he should have had the sense to leave.
