TIME MARCHES ON

Time marches on
on it we're swept,
it waits for none
though tears are wept

Time is a candle
we the wick
our flames burn out
indeed too quick

We wish we could
but can't collect
moments in time
in retrospect

Time marches on
in measured steps,
treasure your time
it can't be kept.
