Old-time
typewriters
heavy and black,
had hard-pressed keys
that clickety clacked
Typing was
a chore in fact,
pounding away
could wrench a back
Upon return
the bell would ring,
words would emerge
end in a ding
And carbon paper
was the thing,
oh what a mess
that stuff would bring
With correction fluid
errors were whiter,
smudges were left
typos got righter
Now things are clean
and so much lighter,
still computers can't sing
like those old typewriters.
