Washing Sheets

Each Monday morning
the job she greets,
the thankless task of
washing sheets

Week after week
the chore repeats,
yet this alone
her sanity keeps

Could life hold more?
seems incomplete,
to only live
for laundry heaps

Still she enjoys
in bounds and leaps,
her love expressed
in sweet clean sheets.
