YELLOW JACKET

Sittin' barefoot
on the back porch
watchin' a wasp come by

it seems to like the
red colored foldin' chair
for some reason

how easily it flies
no effort at all
like a leaf in the wind

he goes up and down
as he investigates
then lands on the chair arm

wonder if he just needed
a place to sit down

i wouldn't mind bein' a wasp
I'd have a yellow jacket
then too

people get out of your way
and leave you alone.
