YESTERDAY

Yesterday seems so much brighter
yet its glow soon dies away,
good things don't last forever
now it's only one more day

I wish I could return to it
what people always say,
yet those days are gone forever
the past cannot be remade

Yesterday is just a figment
things imagined in a way,
to live too much within it
is the bane of yesterday

Do not cling to wisps or whispers
change has unrelenting ways,
make Today your lone existence
letting go of yesterday.
