Why do you remember
the sweet mother asked,
things from so long ago
events from the past

You were so little and
much time has elapsed,
I am really surprised
you still remember all that

Mother it could be
that time can be gleaned,
the older we grow
the more memories mean

The answer is easy
to your question above,
kindness is forever
and you don't forget love.
