History on
a Pinhead
Vibroras dates
from 1753 when it was on land granted to ranchers under the protection
of governor José de Escandón. The name means "snakes" in Spanish.
A post office was granted in 1909 but the community minded its own
business for decades with little of historical note to record.
The 1939 count was a mere 20 people, served by a single business.
The post office closed in 1980 and in the 1990s only a single vacant
building was left to remember the town. |
