Perfect body
language for wildflower photography.

Located on the
La Bahia Trail
(presently designated as FM
390), the small park is just west of Independence,
Texas. Consisting of just a few acres, which include the ruins
of the old women’s dormitory, the park usually has wildflowers throughout
the year, but especially in the Spring.
You can have the run of the place during the summer, but it’s a different
story during wildflower season.
This collection of photos was taken during our Friday afternoon visit
– or two circles around the park’s centerpiece Live Oak trees.
Our (Mexican) hats are off to these adventures who were smart enough
to get a jump on weekend visitors. Although we normally don’t include
candid photographs in our content, everyone was having such a good
time, we got caught up in the moment.
If you’re reading this after April and feel you’ve missed the peak
of the season, be assured that both park
and trail
can entertain year-round.
