Note: "There are six murals. Look at the pictures first and then come
back and read my attempt at explaining how they are laid out in the room.
First,
I need to explain the room shape and how the paintings are arranged around the
border. The room is about 20' x 25'. What is hard to explain in that the ceiling
is about 12' high and the entry is only about 8' or normal room height. Kind of
like a store that has two entry doors to shield from the weather. Anyway, that
leaves kind of a shelf above the entry. So that the paintings are all around the
ceiling border except for the window shade centered directly above the entrance.
As
you walk into the room, you will be looking at "Cattle Loading." This is the only
that I found with a signature. Artists sometimes hide signatures creatively in
the painting somewhere but I could not locate any other.
To your left is
on the entire side wall including over the shelf, "Coronado's Exploration Party."
To your right is "Oil." It only goes to the shelf and then is "Cattle
Branding." That one is in the corner and turned fuzzy.
Over the 'shelf'
are two paintings, "Gang Plow" and "Disk Harrow". The window shade in the center."
