"This 275 foot Through Truss Bridge was built in 1915 by the
New Jersey Steel and Iron Works Company over the San Marcos River,
6-1/2 miles northwest of Gonzales.
The bridge is still in use by local traffic.
No sign was found of Slayden itself." - Barclay
