History on
a Pinhead
If there is
any history to the place named Lee, the chances are good it revolves
around the silo / elevator.
A timeline of Lee's history would undoubtedly be divided into BS
(before the silo) and AS (after the silo).
Thanks to our
intrepid and indefatigable photographer, we can see that the AS
era has been notably slow on progress, with nary a "coming soon"
sign in sight. Lee is also
bereft of a historical marker, suggesting that the BS era probably
established the long tradition of nothing happening.
Photographer's Note:
"Lee is located on US 60 about 7 miles southwest of Panhandle.
The Silo is it." - Barclay
