History on
a Pinhead
There is no telling
how many people occupied this place. The lone population figure comes
from 1945 when 10 residents were reported. The land had been owned
by a large ranch (The Diamond Tail) but it did have a post office
briefly from 1909 to 1913. A community hall has been reported in the
vicinity as late as the 1987. |

Note:
"All I know about Lonnie is this church. It may be all there
ever was in the first place. It is located about 1 mile east of US
62/83 on CR "L".
The church door was locked so I took a couple of pictures through
the keyhole while keeping an eye on the nearby cattle." - Barclay
