History on
a Pinhead
Bitter Lake was the town’s original name, but storekeeper D.
Cook renamed it after his Minnesota hometown when the community was
granted a post office in 1890.
Northfield had a population of 25 in 1946 which it continued to use
for the 1980 census. It was reported as 15 in 1990 and again in 2000. |
