History on
a Pinhead
Founded as a stop on the Panhandle and Santa Fe Railway
in 1919, the town was named after the president of the railroad
- Ginery Twichell.
Twichell, Texas bears an uncanny resemblance to Bee
County’s town of Tynan.
Photographer's Note:
Seven minutes west of Booker
and six minutes east of Perryton
on TX 15. I suppose Twichell is closer to a town than a ghost town.
It has commerce, a few houses and a road sign. - Barclay
