History on a Pinhead:

Early resident Bradford Fitzgerald became the town’s namesake. The first available population figures were from 1940 when 28 residents were counted.

Brad became an entry to the Possum Kingdom Reservoir after the dam was built in 1945. The census of 1980 and the census of 1990 both reported 28 Bradites which has since declined to the current 16.
