"The airplane
float was built by Willie Giese for the Round
Top July 4th parade, the oldest Independence Day parade west of
the Mississippi River, circa 1920.
Willie served in the U.S. Army during WWI
and was poisoned with mustard gas. He died several years later from
the lingering side effects of the poisoning." - Carolyn
