History in
a Pecan Shell
Once known as Bowman
Spring, the town dates from the 1880s when a man named Daniel
Zwefeldt opened a store. A post office was granted in the mid 1890s,
however it was closed in 1901.
It remains on both the TxDOT County map and the Official State Map
and it's population is estimated at less than 100 persons.
