History
on a PinheadPavel
P. Zapalac is the probable namesake of the indistinct former town of Zapalac.
It
dates from the mid 1880s and has never had its own post office, voting district
or school. Area residents attended classes in nearby communities. The surname
is common in the area and it’s unusual to find a local cemetery that doesn’t have
a tombstone with the Zapalac name.
Zapalac Road (a dead end) is a long,
shaded road showcasing some of the diverse flora and fauna of Fayette
County. |
