History on
a Pinhead
One of Rusk County’s
earliest settlements, there is very little early history available.
First population figures from the 1930s show just 25 residents served
by six businesses.
The community peaked in the 1940s with 125 residents. Postwar relocation
decreased the population to a mere 23 by the time of the 1980s census.
The same figure was given for 2000.
