Across
the gently rolling hills
the eye is often pleased
to see Bluebonnets covering them
like waves in rolling seas
They grow the bluest in this soil
refreshed by April rains
and people come from miles around
to witness their domain
With camera on and kids along
they
venture field and stream
to see this rare phenomenon
which only comes in Spring
Nature limits miracles
giving us its brief displays
appreciate them while you can
before they fade away.
