a Pinhead
Kingwood, a planned
community of the Friendswood Development Company (an Exxon subsidiary)
and the King Ranch, is a 14,000 acre residential community on the
East Fork of the San Jacinto River.
Everything was included in the master plan for residents to shop,
bank and dine locally. Greenbelts, access to Lake Houston and riding
and hiking trails were included. Kingwood schools are included in
Humble, Texas’ ISD. In 1986 the reported
population was just 50, growing to nearly 20,000 by 1990. Kingwood
