History on
a Pinhead
Official Slogan:
“We’re not even in the Handbook of Texas”
Editor’s Note:-
Although there’s currently no official history to report, we include
a page for Mulock, Texas in hopes that someone doing research on this
former place might add what they know. This page was made possible
by Mr. John Germann, curator of The
John J. Germann Collection.
Mr. Germann’s information on the sod post office, years of operation,
and the full name of the postmaster / namesake (see text in image
above) is currently all that is known.
Perhaps there are a few Hansford
County residents that remember passing through this town-that-may-have-been.
Our address for sharing information on Mulock is history@texasescapes.com
Forum:
"This might not be much help, but [there is an] article that states
that the Mulock Cemetery was renamed New Hope Cemetery
and is located one mile north and one mile west of the Mulock Way
Station. New Hope Cemetery is still on the maps." - Ray Garrison,
