History on
a Pinhead
A cemetery is shown
on county maps labeled Decker Lane, but otherwise, little else
remains of this community. The name comes from A. F. Decker, who was
actually the postmaster of the Sweetwater,
Texas post office when the time (1892) came to open an office
here.
In 1917 the post office was relocated to Maryneal
and by the late 1940s, Decker, Texas had already become a ghost. |
