Wanda Orton
Wanda Orton is
a retired managing editor of the Baytown Sun. A BiB (born in Baytown),
she is also a 7th Generation Texan and a Daughter of the Republic
of Texas (Wilhelm Keidel Chapter). Her newspaper career began with
the Baytown Sun when she was still attending Baytown’s Robert E, Lee
High School. She attended classes at Baytown’s own Lee College before
transferring to the University of Houston, graduating with a BA in
English. She currently lives in Fredericksburg.
